Project story
This Harlow project involved the refurbishment and automation upgrade of an existing sliding driveway gate, along with the installation of new matching railings to improve the appearance and security of the property entrance.
The original sliding gate had become worn over time but remained structurally sound.
Rather than replacing the gate completely, the client chose to refurbish the existing gate to restore its appearance while upgrading the automation system to modern standards.
The gate was removed from site and fully refurbished, including sandblasting and powder coating, giving the metalwork a durable new finish designed to withstand long-term outdoor use.
Once refurbished, the gate was reinstalled with a new sliding gate automation system, allowing smooth and reliable electric operation for the driveway entrance.
To complete the project, new steel railings were installed along the boundary wall to match the style of the gate, creating a consistent and secure frontage to the property.
The installation included:
• Removal and refurbishment of the existing sliding gate
• Sandblasting and powder coating of the metal gate
• Installation of new sliding gate automation system
• Reinstallation and alignment of the refurbished gate
• Installation of new matching steel railings
• Full electrical setup and safety testing
The completed project restored the appearance of the original gate while providing the property with reliable modern automation and improved front boundary security.
